Abstract: This talk will provide an overview of the global sociocultural evolution of medical assistance in dying (MAiD) and experience of MAiD from legislation to implementation in Canada. Lessons learned from Canada’s evolving MAiD laws will be highlighted through clinical examples. The presentation aims to articulate a balanced position of ambivalence about assisted dying.
