Biography: Danielle Ofri writes regularly for the New York Times about medicine and the doctor-patient relationship. Her essays have also appeared in the Los Angeles Times, the Washington Post, the Atlantic, Slate, the New England Journal of Medicine, and the Lancet, and were twice selected for Best American Essays and also for Best American Science Writing. She is Editor-in-Chief and co-founder of the Bellevue Literary Review, the first literary magazine based in a hospital. Her work has appeared on CNN and on National Public Radio. She is the author of What Patients Say, What Doctors Hear and four other books.
