Tammy Eaton

Tammy Eaton holds both a BS and MS in Nursing from Carlow University in Pittsburgh, PA.  For over 20 years, she has spent the majority of her nursing career in adult critical care/trauma nursing and critical care research.  She currently works as an inpatient palliative care nurse practitioner at UPMC Mercy.  Enrolled in the University of Pittsburgh's Nursing PhD and Bioethics MA programs, Tammy has research interests in survivorship after critical illness and the role of palliative care in patients surviving critical illness.  Her dissertation will examine the feasibility and potential benefits of a palliative care needs assessment and intervention embedded within a post-ICU follow-up clinic for patients surviving critical illness.
