In collaboration with Post-doctoral Fellow N. N.Mishra, PhD and with support from the Fogarty International Center, Lisa Parker is in a qualitative grounded theory project exploring how institutional ethics committee members, patients, research subjects, and family members in New Delhi conceptualize privacy; their concerns about privacy; and their beliefs about privacy protection. They also examined the effect on privacy of India’s Right to Information Act (2005) and Persons with Disabilities Act (1995).
