Deepening Engagement and Equity in Research: Next Steps in Research Ethics

Abstract: This symposium will explore how to advance engaged and equitable research. Consuelo Hopkins Wilkins, MD, MSCI (All of Us Research Program), Katrina Claw, PhD (University of Colorado), Mónica Ramírez-Andreotta, MPA, PhD (University of Arizona), Shailey Prasad, MBBS, MPH (University of Minnesota), Jonathan Jackson, PhD (Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School), and Judy Illes, PhD (University of British Columbia) will discuss challenges and share examples of successful engagement and equity efforts. They will detail how engagement can advance more equitable outcomes in precision medicine, environmental and global health, and neuroscience research.
