Abstract: This year’s conference will engage the ethical issues encountered by nurses, doctors and other caregivers in health and social care during the Covid-19 pandemic. It will focus on ethical responses to care challenges such as: negotiating caring relationships with patients, care home residents and families under pandemic conditions; managing scarce resources (for example, staff, personal protective equipment, ventilators, and hospital beds); and supporting caregiver well-being in response to moral distress and moral injury.
