Abstract: Professor King will bring her expertise in the study of law, medicine, ethics, and public policy to comment on issues of racism, inclusion, and justice within the field of bioethics. A member of the American Law Institute and the Institute of Medicine, and a Fellow of the Hastings Center, Professor King was the 2021 recipient of The Hastings Center's Bioethics Founder's Award, formerly its Henry Knowles Beecher Award. The award recognizes individuals from around the world who have made substantial, sustained contributions to bioethics in ways that have advanced thinking and practice in medicine, the life sciences, and public policy.
