Abstract: This day-long course will provide an intensive introduction to ethical issues that arise in contemporary healthcare practice. The program, involving lecture and case-based discussion, will introduce healthcare professionals to frameworks needed to understand and address ethical issues within their institutions. The course is open to all healthcare professionals and others interested in gaining a foundation in bioethics, and especially those serving on ethics committee or providing end-of-life or palliative care.
