Elizabeth Chaitin, MSW, MA, DHCE, served as Assistant Professor of Medicine in the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in the Division of General Medicine in the Section of Palliative Care and Medical Ethics. Dr. Chaitin co-chaired the Biomedical Ethics Committee of UPMC Shadyside Hospital, where she was also on the Advisory Board for the Department of Complementary Medicine. She served as Co-Director of the University of Pittsburgh Institute for Enhancement of Palliative Care. Dr. Chaitin taught in the Internal Medicine and Family Practice Residency Programs of UPMC Shadyside, the Master of Arts in Bioethics Program, and the Consortium Ethics Program of the Center for Bioethics and Health Law.
