The Program in Clinical Ethics strengthens the collaboration between UPMC and the University of Pittsburgh in clinical ethics, fostering shared seminars and conferences on clinical ethics topics, linking clinical ethics trainees with research opportunities, and facilitating clinical ethics scholarship across Pitt’s schools of the health sciences.

Joint University of Pittsburgh/UPMC Clinical Ethics Case Conference Series

The Institute for Bioethics regularly holds clinical ethics case conferences, open to faculty, clinical staff, students and trainees and community members. These conferences involve presentations of deidentified patient or composite cases, consideration of ethical and social issues surrounding and emerging from theses, and open discussion.
